BigCommerce Partners with Australia Post to Streamline Shipping for Ecommerce Merchants

Strategic partnership unlocks access to a suite of ecommerce tools, including automation and shipping, for thousands of merchants

Sydney –  18th May, 2021–  BigCommerce (Nasdaq: BIGC), a leading Open SaaS ecommerce platform for fast-growing and established brands, has announced a strategic partnership with Australia Post for integration with MyPost Business, a parcel sending solution. BigCommerce’s Australian-based merchants will have access to MyPost Business’ shipping and automation tools, powered by ShipStation technology and integrated through the BigCommerce platform.

MyPost Business has helped over 400,000 businesses streamline shipping and fulfillment, and provided access to volume-based savings on eligible domestic and international parcel sending. BigCommerce merchants will now have the option to unlock the benefits and rates of MyPost Business as well as generate shipping labels from the convenience of home, to help boost productivity and growth potential.

Historically, retail merchants and small businesses in Australia have not always been able to fully reap the rewards of true “automation” when it comes to shipping and fulfillment. The integration with MyPost Business will provide these BigCommerce merchants with access to:

  • Easy Shipping: A MyPost Business account is quick and free to set up, with no minimum parcel volume requirements.

  • Generate shipping labels at home: Print labels in bulk online from home without visiting a Post Office.

  • Save on domestic and international sending: Access MyPost Business savings bands based on eligible parcel volumes lodged.

Shannon Ingrey, Vice President and General Manager of APAC for BigCommerce, said: “We’re committed to empowering BigCommerce merchants at every stage of their growth, which means arming them with the best solutions possible to run and expand their businesses.

This partnership demonstrates the first step in a strategic alignment between BigCommerce and Australia Post by offering our merchants access to a full suite of ecommerce tools and an end-to-end ecommerce journey.”

Gary Starr, Executive General Manager of Business, Government and International at Australia Post, said: “With ecommerce accelerating rapidly, growing by more than 57 percent in 2020 alone1, we are working closely with our customers to help them strengthen their online offering, in addition to assisting traditional brick-and-mortar retailers to come online for the first time.

“We’re excited to partner with BigCommerce on this initiative to give more online retailers access to the MyPost Business platform, via ShipStation, and help them streamline their shipping processes, making it easier for them to grow their business online.”

The integration with MyPost Business will be available to all new and existing Australian BigCommerce merchants from today.
